The annual Hands Across the Bridge event that highlights recovery was again a big success. Thousands gather each year atop the Interstate 5 bridge to hold hands in a gathering that is inspiring to an enormous range of people — those new to recovery and those who have been part of the treatment world for many years. This year’s event was once again a high-energy gathering of people in  recovery, people who work with them in their recovery, and people who love them.  All are there to recognize the hard work of rebuilding one’s health.

CODA is one of the sponsors of the event, which describes its mission this way: “To build leadership in the recovery community by inspiring people to speak out on recovery related issues and challenge the stigma of addiction, one story at a time.”

Members of the CODA crowd -- patients and employees -- rallied before the event on Sept. 7.
