Melissa Weimer, DO, MCR, who has provided clinical services at CODA for the past two years, has joined the agency as Medical Director. Dr. Weimer also serves as an Assistant Professor at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where she sees patients and teaches internal medicine residents in primary-care and chronic-pain clinics. Her research area is the intersection between chronic pain and opioid addiction. Dr. Weimer came to Portland to do her residency in Internal Medicine at OHSU, where she was also a General Internal Medicine Fellow, earned a master’s degree in Clinical Research and became board certified in Addiction Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and her medical degree from the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine at Virginia Tech.
